Why A Worldview Seminar

Worldview is a topic that in the past has mostly been the domain of professional philosophers. There is a tendency for this to be a very technical topic. But the ideas related to worldview and the implications of it are too important to be left to only a small hand full of people.

We live in a world where multiple cultures and religions mix in an unprecedented way. We also live in a world where postmodernist thought pushes for everyone to accept every point of view as equally valid.

Because this phenomenon is so new, Christians everywhere are having a difficult time understanding how to operate in this new environment. This is not only a heart problem, there is also a definite problem related to intellectual understanding that must be addressed. Since we come in contact with so many people who have other belief systems, we need to know how to understand and interact with them.

The focus of a worldview seminar is to share this basic understanding. It addresses topics such as:

  • What is worldview?

  • Why is worldview important?

  • When and how can worldview information be used?

  • How is worldview expressed in daily life?

  • What are the basic worldviews?

  • What are the cultural and lifestyle implications of worldview?

  • How can one practically and easily break down worldviews?

  • What makes the Christian worldview the truth?

In this seminar, participants will not only learn the basics of worldview, they will get practical training to help them use the worldview tools to become more confident and effective as they live out their faith in the world.

How Is a Worldview Seminar Different from a
Worldview Revival?
The biggest difference between the two are format and venue. The revival format is conducted as a series of worship services with a focus on sharing from the Bible and challenging people to apply the worldview truths found there to their lives. A seminar is primarily approached as an educational opportunity with the focus on helping people understand the concept of worldview and the practical ways they can use it in their life and witness.
