is the purpose of MarketFaith Ministries to be a catalyst to
challenge, teach and encourage Christians to clearly understand and
faithfully live out the Christian faith in the marketplace. An understanding
of worldview and how it plays out in life formerly was not so necessary for
Christians in America. It used to be that America was a
Christian society and it supported a Christian worldview. It used to
be that Christians could be content to simply know what they
believed. But
that is no longer the case!
Now there are other belief systems which are challenging Christianity and
strongly advocating for their position. In today’s world, we not only need
to know what we believe, but why we believe it. Not having this
knowledge causes Christians to lack confidence and to hold back their
witness to the world. MarketFaith
Ministries
was established for the purpose of helping Christians become more confident
in living out their faith in the marketplace. We are committed to this
mission to the point that we want to offer your and your group a
worldview training opportunity. This opportunity can be customized to
fit almost any kind of situation. Option
1 - Training Seminar The
“Culture War” seminar is designed to train Christians to become more
confident and effective as a witness in the marketplace. In this training,
individuals will learn about all of the basic worldviews and how to use that
information to enhance their personal faith life and witness. The depth of
the training will be determined by the length of time available to explore
the topic. It can be tailored to fit any situation between two and six
hours. Option
2 - Worldview Revival The
worldview revival is stylistically patterned after a traditional church
revival with multiple worship services over a several day period. But that
is were the similarity ends. The messages in this sermon series are designed
to help people understand their own faith and the faith of those they
interact with. But understanding is not enough. Participants will also be
taught how to make their faith more real in their own lives and to actively
and powerfully live out their witness before others. Option
3 - Worldview Witness Training It
used to be that we could utilize an approach to witnessing that just assumed
people knew what we were talking about when we shared about God. With our
increasingly pluralistic society, that is simply not the case anymore. This
training seminar is designed to share the tools that missionaries use to
determine where, specifically, to begin a witness and how to make a
presentation that makes sense to people who have other worldviews. Option
4 - Worldview Prayer Training We
interact with God based on who we perceive him to be. There are many
Christians who understand who God is in a propositional sense, but have
never translated that into personal experience, or at least not made it a
part of daily life. The result is a faith that is legalistic rather than
personal. Worldview Prayer Training uses a understanding of worldview to
help Christians move from a propositional awareness of who God is to an
actual experiential interaction with God in daily life. Any
one of the training opportunities can also be combined with the Worldview
Revival for a more complete training opportunity. If you would like to set
